Protecting and enhancing local biodiversity
A principle objective that underlies our activities is the need to re-establish the significance and diversity of natural habitats in Ireland's rural environment. These have been in rapid decline since the introduction of modern farming techniques as well as other actions such as new housing. To redress this decline we believe there is a vital need for re-invigorating the population of various wild flower species that are native to the island of Ireland in an effort to re-establish the habits that have been lost.

Working with nature
Throughout our activities we aim to work in harmony with the natural processes of the environment. This is reflected in our commitment to use only organic and peat-free methods of growing.

Promoting biodiversity through education
To further the needs of enhancing Ireland's biodiversity we are working with education bodies to increase awareness in
future generations of the importance of native wild flowers and their habitats. As part of this we have developed 'Native Wildflower Resource Packs' for schools and community groups - specifically designed with the national curriculum in mind - to facilitate hands-on learning and provide community social inclusion.

Providing training and employment opportunities
Ecoseeds aims to actively encourage people in the local community and beyond to volunteer in its work thereby providing hands-on training in all aspects of the business including management.

Promoting co-operative principles
Ecoseeds promotes the Co-op Principles in its everyday working practice. We also promote them through interaction with NGOs, communities, schools, local councils, and small business.
